It Hasn't Lost Its Charm...

I've been browsing through my older posts and one in particular caught my eye.

What do you love to create?

At the time, I posted just about everything related to what I was writing. Now, while most of the answers are still the same, I'm discovering more about what I love to create.

I know I griped a lot about the query, the synopsis and all of that. In the end, I'm happy to say I actually did find a positive to it all. Writing the query and the synopsis forced me into breaking out of my comfort zone. I'm not comfortable writing those things. They suck. But I did it.

Editing and using beta readers... same thing. Scared me half to death to release what I wrote into the arms of strangers, but I did it. And that helped my writing as well.

Even after all of that, I still love creating every bit of my characters, my world, my stories. I'm not sure I will ever give it all up. It would take some serious maiming or death. And if there is any maiming to be done, it'll be by me... just kidding. ;) Maybe. Halloween brings out my dark side. Muahaha!

When we do the things that make us uncomfortable, we grow!

I realize that now, Alex, but I certainly didn't see it at the beginning of the process. :D
