Finding My Groove...

I feel like a llama, well, okay I feel like Kusko. I've lost my groove. I was getting organized, caught up on everything and then, wham! Life came along and tackled me again. I think I need body armor for when that happens.

Okay, well not so much Life hitting me, but blogger issues. I posted on Friday to let you all know I was having problems with stuff. Computer, internet, Life, etc.

I think I have the spam issues taken care of. Thank you all for the comments and advice. It has worked so far!

It's been snowing a lot around here and we've had a couple power outages. More than last winter, I think. But a couple of times I haven't been able to even log on to get things done. If I don't do it right away, I forget about it.

Enter "Sticky Notes": I just got Windows 7 on my laptop. It came with this cool little program and now my monitors (yes, the plural is correct) have them posted everywhere! I love getting to destroy... err... delete my notes. Heh!

I've been trying to maintain this blog, plus the Word Weavers blog. I'm also trying to keep up with my personal writing schedule, then there is work and other private projects I am working on but can't talk about yet. (Ooooh! Secrets!) I suddenly found myself not having any fun and sort of threw my hands up in the air in disgust.

And immediately logged into World of Warcraft.

Ahem.

So now that I have that out of my system, I hope to be back on my track again. I am still trying to get to other blogs that participated in Jamie and Allison's Level Up! blog fest. I love finding new blogs to follow. But still can't manage them. Go figure. So if I don't get to you right away or leave many comments, you know why. I have lots of blogs I am trying to follow. One of these days I hope Blogger fixes their issues or something, it's rather irritating.

So how was your weekend? Get any writing done? Play any games?

Keeping up with everything can be difficult! A little down time with World of Warcraft might've been just what you needed.

I agree with Alex - a little WoW might have been just the right thing for rest and relaxation.
I didn't get "enough" writing done this weekend, and I'm struggling to keep up too . . .but one moment at a time is all I have so I do my best, and sometimes I sneak off and read a book or take the day off (Sunday).

Oh, man... sometimes it can be really hard to get some traction, can't it? A group of us is doing a March Madness push to finish up a writing project, if you think that might help? (today's blog)

I find a couple of days away and the schedule is blown out of the water. I am soooooo behind on my tasks right now.

You keep playing that WoW! I should take it up!

World of Warcraft is such a time sink! Avoid it! Escape!

I went skiing at the weekend (most ridiculous procrastination ever)and am now in TOTAL ACHING AGONY. I agree with the troops. WoW is great for some down time and it comes with the ADDED BONUS of it not being possible to fall backwards off a ski tow and feel like a chump. :-)

WoW can be a great distraction/stress reliever...just don't get -too- distracted/stress relieved :)

I know it's a time sink, but it did help. I'm ready to tackle everything again. Hart, I'll be stopping by to see what your March Madness is all about!
Thanks, everyone, for your comments. :D

WoW can be bad news for productivity - good luck :)

There were some pretty awesome other entries for the Level Up Blogfest too; hope you enjoy :)

I gave WoW up ages ago (pre-expansion) because it stopped being a stress-reliever and started being a stress source. It was great while it lasted, but quitting freed up oodles of time.

My latest coup was getting the first round of edits back on the sequel to Firehurler yesterday. Gaming time on hold temporarily :)
