A Little Musing For You...

When I first started this blog, I had the intent of just writing down some of my random thoughts, using this as an online journal, more than anything.

Now, I look back at it all and I have used it for that purpose, but it is also my platform for my writing. The writing of one book, so far.

That doesn't mean I don't have more in the works, I've stated on here before that I do. But book two should have come along a lot farther than it has.

Now, that has a lot more to do with life, than anything else. As long as I keep moving things forward in my writing, just like in any good story, I'll be all right. But I haven't. I've slacked, I've dropped the ball, and then I ran into roadblocks that flat out prevented me from writing.

Hopefully, this is all going to change. I say hopefully, just because I know how my life tends to go and how my own personal habits are. They aren't as strong as they could be, when it comes to sitting down and writing.

And the honesty of that is harder for me to admit than anything else. It also doesn't help that I'm admitting it to the very community I don't want to let down.

I'll be working with my sister-in-law, partnering up with her every week to help keep each other on track. The two of us seem to always find ourselves in similar writing situations. I believe we can help each other and be each others cheering squad.

I'll be even more honest with you... actually becoming a success at this scares the pee out of me. And more often than not, that is what terrifies me into not writing. But I can't be afraid of it anymore. Not if I want to truly make something of it. So, I hope to get back into the swing of things, stop making excuses, try to sidestep all the speed bumps and roadblocks to the best of my ability and just keep moving my story forward.

Thanks to all of you who have stuck with me and offered up your support!

I'm sure more than a few of us have had our dreams sidetracked by life, but that is probably as it should be in most cases. Having someone to share accountability with should help. Keep at it! You'll be fine.

Success can be just as scary.
Working with your sister-in-law is a great idea. You'll help each other stay on track.

Thanks, Lee! I'm hoping that having someone to share accountability does help. We have even read "Done and Done" by Annette Lyon and Luisa Perkins. :) That has helped already.

Thanks, Alex! I will keep everyone posted on our progress.
