Halloween Approacheth...

If you all don't know by now, I'll tell you. Halloween is like, my favorite holiday EVER! I love it. I don't know why. I'm also a huge horror movie buff and always enjoyed my brother's Halloween parties. He would play like a two hour long tape (yeah...VHS) of all the scary parts of every scary movie. It was awesome. People would be glued to the TV.

Later on, after the parties stopped and his kids got a little older, he started doing a haunted house in his carport. I got to help the first year before we moved away to Alaska. It was the best!

You would think with all this horror influence in my life that I would write horror/thriller novels. I tried my hand at it once and failed horribly.

Now I'm thinking I need to keep working on that vampire story I started, but vampires are quickly becoming over done. We'll see.

Also, if you don't already know it by now, author Elizabeth Mueller's first book will be released October 31st! Fitting, considering it is titled 'Darkspell'. Congrats to you Elizabeth and I so look forward to reading your book!

Halloween is my favorite holiday as well. I'm so looking forward to it. Planning a big horror movie "marathon" for the night. It will be awesome! :)

Oh, I love Halloween. :) Last year I carved a pumpkin to look like a vampire biting a girl...it was epic. ;)

Congratulations to Elizabeth and I have to say that I don't share your enjoyment of the spooky holiday of Halloween. I think it's more annoying than anything.

@ Nebular ~ That is awesome! Wish I could be there, lol.

@ Christina ~ That is totally cool!

@ Michael ~ Well, not everyone likes Halloween, but I still like you. :D What I think gets annoying is all the commercialism, making something that was a completely, totally serious holiday or event and just mass marketing the hell out of it for money.

I'm a bit of a scaredy cat so even though I can do vampires and werewolves, I have a love/hate relationship with horror.

Congratulations to Elizabeth. I wish her the best of luck and great success :-)

And she has a special blogfest for that day as well!
Yeah, I dig good horror films but could never write a book.
